Support Pharmacist – Carlow

Our client is a well-established Group Pharmacy looking for a Support Pharmacist to work with them on a permanent basis. This pharmacy is based in Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a team environment with excellent support and conditions.
Duties / Skills required:
- Managing the dispensing process
- Managing pharmacy stock levels effectively
- Ensuring date checking is done according to store operations
- Providing expert advice to patients regarding the safe and appropriate use of all medicines and complementary medicines
- Providing guidance and expert advice to pharmacy staff about the safe and appropriate use of medicines – particularly over-the-counter (OTC) and pharmacy-only medicines
- Assessing patients’ symptoms, providing advice about treatment options, and identify patients requiring a referral.
- Supervising and directing the activities of pharmacy staff.
- Creating and maintaining effective relationships with patients, customers, and other key pharmacy players, like suppliers.
- Communicating effectively with a diverse range of people, including patients, pharmacy staff, and other health professionals
- Ensuring all pharmacy claims are correct and are transmitted within the required timeframe.
