Our client is a well-established Independent Pharmacy in Co. Offaly looking for a Superintendent Pharmacist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for career growth in a role that involves business development, team management and leadership, and full autonomy over day-to-day operations management.
Duties / Skills required:
- Management of staff within the pharmacy
- Responsible for the day to day management and operation of the pharmacy
- Responsible for the professional policy and clinical management of the pharmacy practice
- In control of the management and administration of the sale and supply of medicines, and has overall control of the professional and clinical pharmacy policy
- Working to agreed operating procedures within the pharmacy to maintain the highest ethical standards and deliver excellent customer care
- To adhere to dispensing standard operating procedures and ensure maintenance of the appropriate records
- To fulfil the required advisory role in relation to over the counter medicines and ensure that staff on the medicine counter are aware of the procedure for counter prescribing and their limitations
- To ensure while on duty the highest standards of care and service is delivered
- To participate in training and development programmes provided by the pharmacy
- To keep abreast of all changes to registration and PSI practice guidance
